is it the freedom?...........

well friends .....

I am back with my next post...... this issue has been in my mind for a long time and badly wanted to talk about it....
today as i was travelling by bus to the town to meet one of my friends who was celebrating the birthday of his loved one ..i happened to read a few posters talking about the hottest news in todays evening papers....the news that were exhibited totally shook me..

one newspaper claimed of a complete report about the death of a school girl who has been thrown into the flesh trade and the other one of a father who killed his daughter( for what ever reason it is..)....

just think of the above two news items thats published in two " hot selling papers" in the town ...what do the newspapers want to gain from publishing such articles ..? and telling us the whole detail about who s who involved in such acts ...one would say educating the public about the happenings in the society... but i would like to ask back , what use do i have in knowing such news....they not only stop here ,they also publish the details of the people involved in this .. which results in bringing a stigma to the people involved and this ofcourse violates all the codes relating to privacy of a person...

Nowadays the vernacular newspapers have started to publish such articles inorder to gain popularity and ofcourse their circulation ... Is this the expected results from the media? Can they do anything in the name of Freedom of Press?

I may not be the competent authority to talk about all these.. but i feel as a citizen of a souverign nation ,the newspapers have a greater role in the society than informing us abouts the rapes , suicides and murders....
